Happy New Year to the INCCA community! We hope you’ve had some good rest during the holidays!
As we entered 2023, we got some news to share with you. INCCA is currently looking for an early career member to join the Steering Committee (SC). This SC member will be active in sparking new initiatives, and will also gain experience serving on a committee of an international organisation. We are looking for a recent conservation graduate who is keen on volunteering some time towards advancing the role that INCCA can play in the contemporary art conservation field. If you are interested in this role, please send a one-page CV and a short statement to info@incca.org by the 10th of February. For more information visit INCCA.org.
In the meantime, INCCA-Asia Pacific is also inviting new members to join the Working Group. INCCA-Asia Pacific was established in 2014 as a regional group to provide local input into the programs of INCCA. Previous projects included INCCA Café with M+ Museum: Looking Forwards and Backward and INCCA Talk with M+ Museum: On Meaning and Interchangeability. You can find more details here. If you are interested, send a short statement about your experience and interests to incca.ap@gmail.com by the 10th of February for a start date in late February 2023.
Last but not least, we are hosting INCCA (Book) Talk with Thea van Oosten on the 9th February at 5 pm CET. Join us to learn about Thea’s publication Properties of Plastics – a Guide for Conservators and recent developments in the conservation of plastics. Register here.
We are looking forward to this new year with all of you!
Cheers,
INCCA Steering Committee
