We hope you are well! As we embrace the second month of 2025, we are excited to share some upcoming events with our community. Despite the winter chill, INCCA's activities are in full swing, and we have some engaging initiatives to announce.
How do you care for media artworks that rely on CRT technology? Media artworks that rely on cathode-ray tube technology pose numerous challenges to collection caretakers, technicians and artists in terms of their accurate presentation, assessment, short and long term preservation. How are museums, galleries, and exhibition spaces dealing with these challenges? We encourage interested technicians, conservators, artist assistants, collection caretakers to join us in this online event bringing questions, thoughts and ideas that they wish to further discuss in an informal setting. We are looking for speakers for lightning talks (3-5 minutes) to encourage a conversation around these topics. Submit your participation request via this form by 14th February 2025. Learn more about the Open Call here.
Leading to our ongoing series, we’re hosting INCCA Student Café pt.4: Challenges of Contemporary Materials on 6th February 2025, 10am CET! Presentations will be given by Isobel Finlay (Leah Balagopal and Lan Chang), Catherine Campos, Maja Rogowska, Haizea Salazar-Basañez and Maddalena Gazzetta. This will be followed by an open and informal conversation with all speakers and participants. For better language accessibility we provide English live caption and Korean AI translation in this event. Learn more about the speakers and register here.
We look forward to e-meeting you at the events!
All the best,
INCCA Steering Committee
