Dear INCCA Community,
We hope you enjoyed the first INCCA Café: Student & Early Career Research on 14th March! The presentations centred around time-based media, while the group discussion allowed the 56 participants to dive in to more in-depth conversation. The discussion touched upon how to document complex decision-making and how important sharing case studies like this are for preserving the artworks and aiding their future installation. You can read the whole recap here.
Following that, we are very excited to announce the second edition of this series! On 16th March, 6pm CEST, we will have the chance to talk about artist’s materials, conservation materials and treatment examples for the preservation of contemporary art. After the presentations, stay for the more extensive group discussion. For this event, we provide English captions and Polish translation. Learn more about the speakers and register for this Café via this link.
Last but not least, We would like to thank our ‘accessibility sponsors’: The Getty Conservation Institute and Leeum Museum of Art for helping to make our events more accessible. For the past four years thanks to the Getty Conservation Institute, we have been able to provide live captioning for our online Cafés and Talks. We are delighted to announce that Leeum Museum of Art has generously agreed to support INCCA in providing live captioning and AI-generated translation in one additional language for our future events. If you would like to know more about this, read ‘Language Accessibility in INCCA Events’ on INCCA.org.
Best wishes,
INCCA Steering Committee
