What is your education and/or training?

After the Bachelor degree and a Master degree in Science for Cultural Heritage I have obtained a PhD in Science for Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Afterwards I had a scholarship in the Institute for Conservation and Valorization of Cultural Heritage ICVBC of National Council of Research in Florence, Italy.
In my PhD, along with diagnostics, especially on paintings on wood and canvas, my research focused on the development, characterization and analysis of polymeric systems based on polystyrene thin films with low adhesion and high internal cohesion that can be used for the protection of artistic and archaeological artifacts; for the characterization I gained experience with a variety of different analytical techniques.
In ICVBC my research has focused on the development and the tests of materials to protect and consolidate glass and on the characterization of the glass and the evaluation of the degradation simulated.
