What is your education and/or training?
With over ten years of experience in paper conservation, I have established a strong reputation for my expertise in Asian and Western paper conservation, technical manufacture, historical background, and contemporary treatment methodologies. My journey began with a Fine Art Conservation degree from Northumbria University and internships at renowned institutions. This foundation laid the groundwork for my extensive professional experience, spanned private practice and working with prominent institutions.I am passionate about modern papers used in contemporary art practices and always seek new ways to develop innovative treatments. Currently working at a contemporary museum, I am excited to incorporate artist interviews as a tool better to understand artwork through the voices of living artists. This approach will enable me to understand the artistic intention behind the work better, allowing me to provide more informed conservation decisions. I am dedicated to staying at the forefront of my field and contributing to preserving contemporary art while staying true to the artist's vision.
