ICAR - International Journal of Young Conservators and Restorers of Works of Art is a peer-reviewed journal established at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art on the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. It is dedicated to students and recent graduates of conservation and restoration of works of art and related fields from universities and conservation schools.

ICAR enables publishing for emerging conservators' own research and papers based on BA and MA theses or coursework. Being able to demonstrate published scientific papers is an important factor taken into consideration while accepting candidates for internships, exchanges, work placements, for positions in the private sector as well as by prestigious public institutions like scientific research centres, museums, galleries, universities or disposing of grants for research studies.

Best quality of published materials is assured by careful selection conducted by ICAR's Editorial Board and Scientific Council, followed by an international team of expert reviewers, as well as cooperation with professional proofreaders. Young authors are provided feedback on their submissions at each stage of the selection and editing process, detailed individual guidance regarding improving the quality of the submitted paper and academic publishing in general.
