Project: Modern Art Conservation Center - Italy and Slovenia (2011-2014)

MACC Project “Modern Art Conservation Center” aims at implementing a cross-border center for coordination of technical and scientific expertise in the field of modern and contemporary art, suitable to support private companies and public authorities in research activities and restorations. The start-up of the Center will allow to set a network for modern and contemporary art enabling to the development of strategic relations and innovative collaborations with public bodies and enterprises, in order to enhance technological transfer. For this purpose two research and project-oriented structures – based in cross-border area – will be developed: the laboratory for the conservation of modern architectural heritage will be hosted at ZAG Ljubljana (SLO), while the Italian cross-border laboratory will be coordinated by VEGA and Treviso Tecnologia and will be a SmART-Lab, on line based, focused on the development of innovative materials and technologies in the field of modern and contemporary artworks restoration.
