Modelling the lifetime of PVC in collections

We would kindly like to invite you to a lecture by Tjaša Rijavec, titled ”Modelling the lifetime of PVC in collections”. The talk will look into the effect of environmental and intrinsic parameters on yellowing and plasticizer migration, which are the two main degradation pathways for PVC objects. This research was partly funded by APACHE, WP1, in the frame of damage function development for PVC. The lecture is part of the MCI – Topics in Museum Conservation and is organised by the Smithsonian Museum Conservation Institute. The lecture will be delivered on 23rd June at 4.30pm CET via ZOOM.
