As part of its Artist Event Series, Louisville’s Commission on Public Art (COPA) has partnered with the International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art – North America (INCCA-NA) and the Speed Art Museum to bring, for the first time, a national art conference to Louisville.
The Power of Public Space will bring together a group of national experts, from New York’s Metropolitan Museum and Museum of Modern Art, and Washington DC’s National Gallery,
among other professionals in the fields of Art Conservation, Art History, and Public Art Administration to develop a methodology for approaching issues integral to the maintenance and
conservation of artworks in public space.
