How do you document and condition report digital media works? The Electronic Media Group of the American institute for Conservation announces the following Annual Meeting workshop open to conference and non-conference attendees. Registration is now open for this upcoming workshop organized by the Electronic Media Group (EMG) for the American Institute of Conservation (AIC) 47th Annual Meeting, which will be held off site at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. https://aics47thannualmeeting2019.sched.com/event/ItPX/documentation-and-risk-assessment-of-complex-time-based-media-artworks The workshop will explore the documentation of electronic media and the challenges that conservators or other caretakers, such as curators, registrars, or collection managers, may encounter when examining artworks and their components. Instructors Mona Jimenez and Jeff Martin will guide participants through the process by using two artworks in the Museum's collection as case studies. No previous experience is necessary. Cost: $349 for students, $389 for all other attendees. Conference attendees can sign up with their registration.
