INCCA is launching two new exciting activities: INCCA Talks and INCCA cafés.
INCCA talks
INCCA talks is a series of conversations and panels exploring current issues in contemporary art conservation and related fields. They include book talks where authors will discuss their recently published books. INCCA Talks are free of charge and will take place online using Zoom.
Our first INCCA talk will happen on May 4th 2021 and will feature Fernando Dominguez Rubio in conversation with Pip Laurenson about his new book Still Life: Ecologies of the Modern Imagination at the Art Museum. https://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/book/chicago/S/bo51203276.html
For more information about this event and to sign up to receive the Zoom link in your inbox go to the event page HERE.
INCCA cafés
The INCCA cafés are an opportunity for INCCA members to gather and discuss themes and issues of interest, as well as present projects they are working on to their peers. They are grassroot driven, loosely moderated forums for members to share and exchange information and experiences. INCCA cafés will be hosted online via Zoom and will have a duration of approximately 60 minutes but if discussions are passionate, they can continue further.
Our first INCCA café will take place in June and feature the great work of our own sister organisation INCCA South Korea. Come and learn about the activities undertaken by INCCA South Korea since their launch in 2019, such as seminars, conversations with artists, book talks etc. and discuss the benefits of having a national or regional group. The exact date and time will be posted on the INCCA website soon.
Present your project during an INCCA café
If you are interested in presenting your project, please send an email to info@incca.org. Ongoing research projects (including PhDs or Masters) as well as conservation case studies are welcome. Presenting your project could also lead to exciting collaboration opportunities. We want to hear from you!
