What is your education and/or training?
I'm currently the Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at the Department of Photograph Conservation at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. I hold a BA from Mexico's National School of Conservation, where I graduated with a thesis on preventive conservation and care of a textile collection of XX-century Mexican Fashion in collaboration with Alejandra Flores. I have worked as a photography conservation intern at the General Archive of the Nation in Mexico City and as a conservator's assistant for the photography exhibition "El mundo maravilloso que casi fue" by Javier Hinojosa at the Museum of Art and History of Guanajuato. My research interest revolves around Inkjet prints and their preservation, decision-making, and exhibition.
