What is your education and/or training?
While my early academic and professional experience was in digital archives and bioinformatics, an ongoing interesting in the preservation of digital and time-based media artworks has led me to retrain. In 2014 I was awarded an AHRC collaborative doctoral grant to undertake PhD research at King's College London and Tate. This practice-led research sought to develop documentation strategies in the conservation of software-based art, and involved the close study of a set of artwork case studies from the Tate collection. I am currently a freelance digital conservator and continue to work with Tate on their ongoing software-based art conservation programme.
