What is your education and/or training?
Lora is a researcher at the Creative Research and Innovation Centre (CRAIC) - Institute for Media and Creative Industries, Loughborough University London. She completed her PhD project “Transcultural Aesthetics and Modalities of Cultural and Creative Trans-coding” (Cum Laude 2017) at University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain with funded research mobilities at Goldsmiths – University of London, University of Birmingham, and University of Aveiro, Portugal (Erasmus+ mobility).Lora also holds: MA Euroculture (2012) completed at Georg-August University of Goettingen, Germany and Pune University, India with ALBA prize for the best MA thesis of the Erasmus Mundus Euroculture Consortium;
MA Arts & Heritage: Policy, Management and Education (Cum Laude 2008) – Maastricht University, the Netherlands, MA thesis "On the Reception of Video Art in the Context of Media Transformations";
MA Media Culture (2007) – Maastricht University, the Netherlands, MA thesis "Variable Media - Variable Experiences. On the Preservation of Installation Art, Case study: Re-volution by Jeffrey Shaw", supervisor Dr. Vivian van Saaze.
Lora’s professional background involves positions at the former Netherlands Media Art Institute – NIMk (Amsterdam) and the Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage – ICN (Amsterdam) within the EU Culture 2000 project Inside Installations. Preservation and Presentation of Installation Art co-organized with Tate (UK), Restaurierungzentrum Dusseldorf (DE), MNCARS (ES), S.M.A.K (BE), and INCCA.
