What is your education and/or training?

I am a Licentiate in Restoration at the Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía, "Manuel del Castillo Negrete" in Mexico City. This is a university level education with training specializing in conservation and restoration of Mexico´s diverse cultural heritage (a 4.5 year degree plus internships). My dissertation was a theoretical approach on the conservation of contemporary border art from the Mexican-American border. I have work experience in diverse modern and contemporary art projects, including the annual project (PCOMC) at the National Museum of Anthroplogy. I´m currently the Assistant Registrar and Conservator at kurimanzutto gallery in Mexico City, working directly with our artists in consulting on their creative process on material compatibility. Among my other functions as the gallery conservator, I create conservation proposals, restore artwork of various materials, and I work remotely on cases from our New York site with other profesional conservators.
