What is your education and/or training?

Andreia Nogueira has a PhD (2018) in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal). Her PhD research focused on the preservation of the Portuguese electroacoustic musical heritage through its documentation. Between 2011 and 2013 she was a researcher on the project “Documentation of Contemporary Art”, coordinated by Lucia Almeida Matos and Rita Macedo. During that period, she had also completed her Master's Degree in Conservation and Restoration at the same university with research on the preservation and documentation of installations, ephemeral works and films by the Portuguese artist Francisco Tropa (b.1968), pertaining to the collections of the Serralves Museum, the Modern Art Centre of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Culturgest. Currently, Andreia Nogueira is interested in reflecting on the connection between contemporary art and contemporary music preservation practices.
