Megan Levet is an emerging conservator specialising in modern and contemporary paintings. She gained a BA in History of Art from the University of Birmingham before completing her diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from The Courtauld Institute of Art in 2022. For her dissertation, she collaborated with Tate to conduct research on suitable retouching media for unvarnished acrylic paintings, focusing on the aesthetic properties and long-term ageing of new and popular media. With her role on the Steering Committee, she aims to help others gain access to training and provide practical resources for all conservators as they tackle the complex multi-disciplinary world of modern and contemporary conservation.
