Post: Collection Care Research Manager Department: Research Contract: Fixed-term 24 months Hours: Full-time Location: Millbank, London This is an exciting opportunity to join Tate’s Research team and use your skills to deliver world-class research on the care of collections. We are looking for a Collection Care Research Manager to work closely with the Head of Collection Care Research, Tate’s dynamic and creative Research Team and collection care staff to develop, manage and support research across the Collection Care Division. You will monitor and manage existing project budgets and project delivery, ensuring milestones are met, maintaining documentation, reporting to funders and preparing communications and reports. You will co-ordinate and contribute to the drafting of research grants currently in development and work with the legal and copyright team to set up the necessary legal agreements with partners. You will facilitate the implementation of the Collection Care Research Strategy, organise and facilitate meetings and events both with Tate staff and external partners. You’ll come to us with a proven track record of project management and a commitment to accurate and detailed reporting with excellent financial skills. Your project management expertise will be matched by a desire to support the development and delivery of research within a busy museum environment; supporting those who have many demands on their time to fulfil their research ambitions. You will be motivated to work to support the delivery of research in a science, technology, digital transformation or engineering environment and be excited to work in a practice-led research context. Skilled in delivering events, you will have the ability to navigate a large organisation. Open in your approach you will have excellent communication skills, with experience of writing and designing reports and documents for different audiences.
