Tate Conservation is a dynamic department, supporting care of the art collection and Tate programmes including acquisitions, displays, exhibitions and loans. We are seeking an experienced sculpture conservator to work within our Sculpture Conservation team in support of the Tate Britain exhibitions and displays programme. Day-to-day, you will concentrate on assessing, preparing and treating works of art within the Collection and on supporting all related programme activity.
You will hold a recognised qualification in the Conservation of Sculpture or Objects and have demonstrable practical experience with a broad range of artworks. It is essential to have analytical & problem-solving skills, organisational, time-management & planning skills, and to be an effective communicator. You will need to be able to work independently on conservation treatments and provide specialist advice for storage, packing, transport and installation of works of art. Good end-user IT skills are required and experience with modern and contemporary sculptures and sculptural installations is desirable.
