ICOM is an international organisation of museums and museum professionals committed to the conservation of the world's natural and cultural heritage, tangible and intangible.

The International Committee for Conservation (ICOM-CC) is one of the international committees of ICOM. With its 22 working groups, ICOM-CC offers conservators, scientists, curators and other professionals the opportunity to collaborate, study and promote the conservation and analysis of culturally and historically significant works. Members are kept informed of the committee's activities through the newsletters of the Directory Board and working groups and Preprints, published for triennial meetings. They may also participate in specialised international meetings. Approximately 1000 professional papers have been presented and published in the past decade.
