Hartware medien kunst verein in Dortmund was founded in 1996 by the curators Hans D. Christ and Iris Dressler as an open platform occupying itself with the production, presentation and the discourses of contemporary art – especially of media art. hartware works in a regional as well as an international network and organises exhibitions, film and video screenings, discussion panels and workshops. Additionally hartware supports the production of new art works.
The website provides archives on artists who haved collaborated with hartware, as well as a list of events, publications and project descriptions.
