Tempera painting between 1800 and 1950. Experiments and innovations from the Nazarene movement to abstract art

The conference is hosted by the Doerner Institut, in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich and funded by VolkswagenStiftung and the EU project H2020 IPERION CH.
 
It will offer a vivid platform to explore the revival of tempera painting between 1800 and 1950 from the perspectives of art history, technical art history, conservation and scientific analysis. Participants can look forward to a diverse three-day programme consisting of lectures, poster sessions, full-day workshops and guided tours, all held in English. We offer the following fees:
 
EARLY BIRD (until 30 November 2017): 180 euros (regular) / 90 euros (students)
Regular fees (1 December 2017 - 28 February 2018): 220 euros (regular) / 120 euros (students)
