The University of Amsterdam (UvA) is pleased to announce the workshop 3-D scanning and 3-D printing in conservation; An introductory workshop for professionals working in the field of conservation

The workshop will introduce the various 3-D scanning and printing techniques available, present case studies by professional conservators, 3-D imaging professionals, researchers and provide hands-on 3-D imaging sessions. The objective is to provide a better understanding of the possibilities and limitations of these new technologies for use in conservation.
The course will be given in English an participants are advised that a basic knowledge of scientific terms in English is required.

Costs: Course fees are Euro 495,-.
Participants are responsible for all evening meals, accommodation and transportation. Lunches will be provided.
Number of Participants: maximum 20.
The course is primarily intended for conservators/restorers working in the field of movable cultural heritage.
