Call for papers: Getting Started in Contemporary Art Conservation

Location: Gunnersbury Park and Museum, London.

 

Summary:

Have you ever reflected on what it would have been useful to know when you started in contemporary art conservation? What would you tell your younger self at the start of your career?

 

Event description:

This conference is looking for abstracts on a range of topics and themes that aim to share information, create debate and discussion for those working in the contemporary art field. We are looking for presentations from across the realm of public and private sector, focusing on recent treatments, approaches and strategies to the care of artworks, experiences of working with artists and with displays and installation. Presentations can vary in length from 10-20 minutes.

The abstract should have up to 200 words and the submission deadline is the 30th January 2020. To submit your abstract please email amy.griffin@tate.org.uk and alice.watkins@tate.org.uk with the heading Icon-CAN Abstract
