Call for Mentors: INCCA/CAN! Speed Mentoring Event at the 2026 CAC/AIC Annual Meeting

Posted on Monday, February 16, 2026 - 21:48

Dear INCCA Community,

The International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art (INCCA) and AIC's Contemporary Art Network! (CAN!) are excited to announce our in-person Speed Mentoring event at the 2026 Annual Meeting in Montreal. We are currently looking for volunteer mentors for this year's event!

Speed Mentoring provides an opportunity for established and emerging conservators to connect through one-on-one conversations about modern and contemporary art conservation without the usual conference interruptions. Mentors will meet with three to four mentees for ten-minute, back-to-back sessions. Mentees will be early-career conservators and students who request time slots with specific mentors. Program coordinators will be present to facilitate the event.

This event will take place at the conference venue on Thursday, April 30th, from 1–2 PM. Lunch will be provided for mentors from 12:15–1 PM. We are hoping to have a panel of ten mentors involved in the conservation of modern and contemporary materials from a range of specialties. We welcome mentors with at least five years of post-graduate experience in institutions and/or private practice. To volunteer, please complete this application form by Monday, March 2nd.

Signups for mentees will become available once the mentor roster is confirmed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions at can.ecpn.liaisons@gmail.com.

Best,

Daisy Diamond and Caroline Longo
