The AICCM site has a strong focus on Australian collections, resources and stories, but also links to many international resources. http://www.aiccm.org.au

 

Some features of the website include:

  • Online access to AICCM publications, as PDF documents (publications from the last 5 years are available only to members)
  • "Conservators at work" Image galleries of conservators in the lab, off site and undertaking a variety of conservation treatment activities
  • "Remedies Gone Wrong" Examples of damage caused by inappropriate cleaning, repair, storage and display
  • "Visual Glossary" Definitions of types of damage, illustrated with images provided by AICCM members
  • "Caring for your Collections" Links to online resources about caring for different types of materials
  • Links to news stories about conservators and conservation issues.
  • Event listings.
  • The AICCM Bookshop, with both print and PDF publications available. Payment can be made online, via Paypal
  • A new searchable directory of AICCM members in private practice.
  • Members can also access the online AICCM Member Directory, an online "card file" of useful supplier contacts, job listings and event planning guidelines. Members can manage and renew their membership online.
