Associate Professor/Professor in Conservation and Director of Masters in Conservation of Contemporary Art & Media, - Ref:1879995
We are looking to appoint an Associate Professor (grade 9) or Professor (grade 10) in Conservation of Contemporary Art to develop and direct this Masters programme, to manage the associated laboratory spaces, to teach and assess at undergraduate and mainly postgraduate levels, and to supervise postgraduate dissertations. You will also carry out research and develop a research direction for the Department in the conservation of contemporary art and/or media, as well as pursuing collaborations with partners in cultural institutions and industry.
This is an open ended post that will begin in July 2022.
Key Requirements: You must have a PhD in a relevant discipline, an international research and publication profile in areas relevant to the conservation of contemporary art and/or media, excellent planning and management skills, and vision and leadership to run a programme. You will have the ability to teach and supervise academic work at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to disseminate learning and research to a variety of publics. Experience of applying for, winning and/or collaborating on grant-funded research projects is desirable. You will be a collaborative colleague and a strong advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion. In addition, for appointment as Professor at grade 10 you will evidence high international esteem within the specialist field, possess proven leadership skills and have the experience needed to develop and sustain relevant institutional partnerships.
