The Conservation Department of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has added a section on time-based media conservation to its website.

In response to the many emails and calls for advice that Guggenheim Conservation has been receiving, we have put together a description of time-based media (TBM) conservation practices and documentation standards that we have implemented at the Guggenheim. We are now sharing our documentation templates (Iteration Reports, Media Reports etc.) and video preservation models (analog SD, digital SD and HD) online as downloadable PDFs. To help those who are looking into creating new TBM positions and job descriptions, we have tried to profile and illustrate TBM conservation’s activities and responsibilities.
