Abstract
The scanachrome prints on cotton fabric by the german contemporary artist Rosemarie Trockel are severely yellowed by their wooden frame. After describing the forgotten digital printing technique, the severe and complex yellowing is researched. Having tested several methods, a poultice with Laponite proved to be applicable for reducing the yellow stains. Due to some negative aspects of the Laponite poulticing, finally, the treatment was not carried out. Instead, the possibility of producing a copy of the artwork has been considered and is discussed.
